(LEBANON, Ill., May 17) – BethAnn Swartz of Urbana, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at McKendree University.
Swartz, a pitcher at Illinois Central College, has a 12-7 record this season for the Cougars and leads the team with a 2.66 ERA, while also striking out 93 batters. As a freshman, Swartz helped lead the team to the NJCAA National Tournament.
“BethAnn will be able to make an impact immediately,” said McKendree University head coach Evelyn Bean. “She will fit well into our program and will give us two junior pitcher's with collegiate experience. We're excited for BethAnn to join our program”
BethAnn is the daughter of Kevin and Sue Swartz, and is planning to major in Secondary Education at McKendree.
