(PARIS, Tenn., March 14)- The McKendree University bass fishing team had three individuals place in a session on Saturday and Sunday at the Cabela's Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley.
The tournament field was made up of 436 anglers from 78 different colleges and universities.
Junior
Curtis Lilly (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) was McKendree's top finisher, placing third in the second session on Saturday with a bass weighing in at 6.24 lbs.
Trenton Robinson (Havana, Ill./Lewistown) finished in eighth place in the final session of day two with a bass weighing in at 5.5 lbs., and
Shane Campbell (Highland, Ill./Highland High School) finished in ninth in the final session of day one with a bass coming in at 5.08 lbs. Campbell also had two fish that finished just outside of the top 10 in 11th place in two other sessions.
Lilly's catch was the 18th biggest fish of the two day event, while Robinson's was 38th overall.
McKendree will be back in action on March 25-26 at the Dardanelle Derby held on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark.
