(ROMEOVILLE, Ill., April 29)- The McKendree University men's tennis team fell at the hands of No. 41-ranked Drury University Friday in the quarterfinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament held at the Jack Oremus Tennis Complex on the campus of Lewis University. The Bearcats close their 2015-16 season with an overall record of 13-12.
"We played well today and we had some chances in doubles," head coach
Raquel Allen said following the match. "We knew that we had to come out of doubles with a lead. Even though we didn't come out with a lead in doubles our guys fought hard in singles and I was impressed how much we developed as a team from February to now. We had a good season and I am content how we played these past few weeks. Drury was a tough team and their experience was better."
