GLVC TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

(SPRINGFIELD, Mo., April 20)--The McKendree University men's tennis season came to a close Friday with a 5-1 loss to No. 21-ranked Drury University in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship.

The Panthers, who are the No. 1 seed in the GLVC West Division, swept through all three doubles contests and posted victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles to advance to Saturday's semifinal round. The Bearcats' lone victory of the match went to Ben Muller at No. 2 singles, who defeated Sebastien Amato of Drury, 6-1, 6-4. 

With the loss, McKendree closes out its 2018 season with an overall record of 5-11.
