KANSAS CITY, Mo. - McKendree University women's soccer (3-0-0) began its year with a 2-0-0 record before adding a third win to open the year on Tuesday, launching the squad into the NCAA Division National Rankings to No.22, as announced by United Soccer Coaches/Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) on Tuesday afternoon. The Bearcats earned the ranking prior to their 1-0 shutout victory over Delta State on September 1, with a true road victory over Saginaw Valley State and a home-opening win over Union (Tenn.) on August 30. McKendree has opened its campaign unbeaten for the 12th consecutive year, going 9-0-3 from 2015 onwards. LEBANON, Ill. | Leemon Field - McKendree University women's soccer (3-0-0) added its first shutout of the season while head coach Tim Strange earned his 600th career victory as the Bearcats held off Delta State, 1-0, on Tuesday morning. "I want to thank a lot of people; the administration for the support through the years, the players who made this all possible, and my family for always being there for me through the good and the bad. It's a lot of years, a lot of wins, and a whole lot of hard work.", said Strange. LEBANON, Ill. - With the 2026 campaign for McKendree University Women's soccer set to kick off this week, the Bearcats prepare for not just their adversaries but also the capstone to the career of head coach Tim Strange. Strange, who enters his 28th season at the helm of the women's program and his 37th overall, will officially retire and relinquish the reins following the 2026 season. "It has been an honor to build and lead this program for so long.
