McKendree University Athletics

Paul Beaty ’50 was a terrific three-sport athlete who earned all-conference honors in football and basketball. He was a six-letter winner at McKendree: two each in football, basketball, and track. He was basketball captain and MVP for two years and led the Bearcats to a 14-7 record in 1949-50, one of the best seasons in the College’s history. He could score, handle the ball, rebound, and play defense. He was clearly a team leader.
