(Lebanon, Ill., October 29) – The McKendree University women's soccer team punched their ticket to the 2017 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament Semifinal match with a 2-1 victory over the University of Indianapolis this afternoon.
The Bearcats outshot the Greyhounds 19-6 in the contest putting 10 shots on frame.
Hailey Porter (O'Fallon, MO/Ft. Zumwalt West) put the Bearcats on the board in the 16 minute of play as 
Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville ) played a ball to Porter in the box to give McKendree an early 1-0 advantage.
In the 49 minute, 
Grace Neidhardt (Granite City, IL/Granite City ) increase the score to 2-0 as she found the back of the net on a 
Liz Kaiser (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline) corner kick.
Indianapolis would not be shutout in the contest as Stephanie Burdsall cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 74 minute of play.
In net for McKendree was 
Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) who gathered three saves.
With the victory, McKendree moves to 13-2-3 overall. The Bearcats will face Maryville University on Friday, November 3 at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana with a 2:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
