Airika Tyler has earned the Mama Gusto's Female Athlete of the Week honor for Nov. 1-7. Tyler (Wood River, Ill./East Alton-Wood River) finished ninth at the 2010 American Midwest Conference Women's Cross Country championships held on Nov. 6 at Forest Park in St. Louis. Tyler's time of 19:48.25 on the five-kilometer course earned All-Conference mention, and it was also fast enough to earn Tyler a spot in the field for the 2010 NAIA National Championship. Tyler (who will be joined by teammate Megan Doty) will represent the Bearcats in the national field on Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Wash.
