McKendree University Athletics

Bearcat Field is home to the McKendree University softball team. The field has bleacher seating for approximately 250 fans, but also has ample space for lawn chairs along each sideline and on the berm in centerfield. Lights were also installed in the spring/summer of 2013. Parking for the facility is available across the street or in the south lot of the Melvin Price Convocation Center, which is located adjacent to the field.

The Bearcats have posted a record of 138-72-1 under head coach Evelyn Bean at Bearcat Field, and have a winning percentage of 66 percent in home games since 1998. While they were members of the NAIA, the softball team won six American Midwest Conference championships, including back-to-back titles in both 1997-98 and 2001-02.
