Thomas Whittaker works closely with the sprinters and assist with coaching in the hurdles and jump events for the Bearcats. Whittaker comes to McKendree from Maryville University where he was a volunteer assistant track and field coach. Prior to that, Whittaker was on the track and field team at Saint Louis University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Inter-Professional Education and then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While a student athlete, Whittaker competed in the 200-400m events and relays. He was also a record holder in DMR and the 4x400 race for indoor competition.
