Raquel Allen was named new head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs in August of 2015.

Allen joins the program after serving as the head women's tennis coach at NCAA Division I Western Illinois University last season. The Leathernecks qualified for The Summit League Championships in her only season leading the program, and had one player earn All-League honors by the conference at the end of the season.

Allen previously served as head women's tennis coach at Indiana Institute of Technology for two seasons and was a two-time Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Allen was a four-year member of the tennis team at Purdue University Fort Wayne and served as co-captain for her final two seasons for the Mastodons. She was a two-time Summit League All-League selection and was named team MVP as a senior. She helped lead Fort Wayne to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011. The Mastodons NCAA trip in 2010 was a first in the history of the program.

Allen was also a standout in the classroom, earning the Chancellor's Merit Award all four years at Fort Wayne. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Interpersonal and Organization Communication, with a minor in psychology from Fort Wayne in 2012, before earning her master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech in 2013.
