(LEBANON, Ill.- Oct. 7)—The McKendree College men’s soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to six games with a 4-0 win over NCAA D-III opponent Maryville University. The Bearcats are 4-0-2 in their last six games and have won four straight games.

Steve DeMoulin (Glen Carbon, Illinois/Edwardsville) (Glen Carbon, Ill./Edwardsville) broke in past the Saint defenders to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead.
McKendree added another goal at the 44-minute mark when Matt Gruenart (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East) hit a sliding shot into the net on a perfect pass from
Higor Alencar (Sao Luis, Brazil/Harper Creek) (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek).
The Bearcats scored again just 43-seconds later when DeMoulin capitalized on a Saint turnover deep in their end to score his second goal of the game.
McKendree added to the lead at the 64-minute mark when
Scott Kutscher (Springfield, Illinois/Rochester) scored from 10-yards out to give the Bearcats a 4-0 lead.

Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) made fours saves in recording his first collegiate win. McKendree is now 8-3-2 overall and will in be in action again tomorrow at home in an American Midwest Conference showdown against Hannibal-LaGrange College. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
