(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Oct. 11)—Lawrence Olum scored a pair of goals to lead Missouri Baptist to a 3-0 victory over McKendree College Wednesday night in men’s soccer action at the Chesterfield Athletic Complex.

 

Missouri Baptist, ranked No. 18 in the latest NAIA poll, improves to 10-3-1 overall with the victory. The Spartans currently lead the American Midwest Conference standings in terms of points. Missouri Baptist is now 5-1-0 in league play for a total of 15 points. McKendree, which had its seven-game unbeaten streak stopped, drops to 8-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the AMC.

 

Olum scored both of his goals in the first half to give Missouri Baptist a 2-0 lead at the intermission. Rackley Thomas closed out the scoring for the Spartans in the second half.

 

Junior Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) (Buenos Aires, Argentina) made seven saves in goal for McKendree.
