(QUINCY, Ill., Oct. 15)—The McKendree College men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime draw Sunday at Quincy University.
The tie gives McKendree an overall record of 8-4-2. Both ties for the Bearcats have come in their last five games. McKendree will return to action Monday at 4 p.m. with an American Midwest Conference match at Harris-Stowe State University. Quincy is now 5-9-3 on the year.
At Quincy, the Bearcats were edged by the host Hawks 13-12 in shots. Only two of McKendree’s 12 shots were on goal, including one in the second overtime period. Junior
Scott Genz (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles) (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles) made five saves in goal for McKendree. Genz earned his second shutout of the season.
