(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 13)—The McKendree College hockey team was handed its worst loss of the season in a 13-2 defeat Friday at home by the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville gold squad.
The Cougars built a 9-0 lead midway through the second period in cruising to the victory. The loss drops the Bearcats to 11-5 on the season. McKendree and SIU-Edwardsville gold will meet again Saturday at 3 p.m. in East Alton, Ill.

Brian Neighbors (Belleville, Ill./Althoff Catholic) (Belleville, Ill./Althoff Catholic) broke up the SIU-Edwardsville shutout with 7:27 left in the second period when he scored at even strength. After another Cougar goal, junior wing
