(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 10)—The McKendree College hockey team lost its second match to SIU-Edwardsville in as many days, dropping a 10-2 decision Saturday in East Alton, Ill.
The Bearcats’ first goal of the contest came early in the second period, when junior center
Scott Roberts (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) netted his 26
th goal of the season. Sophomore center
Charlie Donze (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) and sophomore wing Z.T. Evans (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) assisted on the power-play goal for McKendree. The goal cut the deficit to 3-1 at the time, but the host Cougars scored the next seven goals of the afternoon to pull away for the victory.
With just 14 seconds remaining in the contest, sophomore center/wing
Nick Dreyer (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) scored the Bearcats’ final goal of the day. It was a power-play goal with assists from Roberts and junior wing
Kyle Ilges (Highland, Ill./Highland) (Highland, Ill./Highland). Dreyer’s goal was No. 27 on the year, which leads McKendree.

Anthony Millatti (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) and junior
Ryan Ahlemeyer (Cahokia, Ill./Cahokia) (Cahokia, Ill./Cahokia) split goaltending duties for McKendree.
