(ST. CHARLES, Mo., Nov. 7)—The McKendree College men’s basketball team was defeated in overtime Tuesday at Lindenwood University, 75-67.
The Bearcats forced overtime when sophomore forward
Nick Livas (Cary, Ill./Prairie Ridge) (Cary, Ill./Prairie Ridge) scored on a basket and free throw with 33.7 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 63-63. The host Lions took control at the outset of the extra period by scoring off the tip and pulled away in the final five minutes.
McKendree slips to 1-1 on the year and will return to action Friday and Saturday in the McKendree Classic. The Bearcats will meet Concordia University Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on Union University Saturday at 7 p.m.

Dantwan Chillers led Lindenwood (2-2) with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while a trio of Lions added 12 points apiece.
