(CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., March 26)—The McKendree College men’s and women’s bowling seasons came to an end Sunday at the United States Bowling Congress Sectional Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn.

 

The Bearcat women narrowly missed their third consecutive berth in the USBC National Championships with a fifth-place finish in Chattanooga. In 64 Baker games, McKendree collected 11,185 pins. The Bearcats were 356 pins behind Western Illinois University, which was fourth in the sectional event. The top four teams from each of four USBC sectional tournaments this weekend advanced to next month’s national event.

 

On the men’s side, McKendree placed seventh of 14 teams. The Bearcats had 11,905 total pins, which was 645 pins behind the Western Illinois men’s squad that grabbed fourth place.
