(ST. CHARLES, Mo., Sept. 16)—The McKendree College volleyball squad had its three-match win streak ended Saturday evening with a loss at the hands of host Lindenwood University. The Lions took four games to outlast the Bearcats, 30-24, 30-24, 21-30 and 30-15.

 

McKendree slips to 5-4 overall. The Bearcats will return to action Monday afternoon with an American Midwest Conference at home against Williams Baptist University. The contest will begin at 4 p.m.

 

Against Lindenwood, senior outside hitter Codi Dempster (Poplar Bluff, Mo./Twin Rivers) was the only Bearcat player to reach double figures in kills with 14. Dempster also had a team-leading 14 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Katelyn Kombrink (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon) chipped in with five attacks, while junior setter Allison DeGroot (Highland, Ill./Highland) had 32 assists.
