HOCKEY TEAM DROPS 3-2 OVERTIME DECISION AT BRADLEY

(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 18)—The McKendree College hockey team was edged Saturday night by Bradley University in overtime, 3-2. The hosts scored with just 1:44 left in the extra period for the win.
 
Sophomore center Charlie Donze (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) (Fairview Heights, Ill.) forced the overtime period by scoring his first goal of the season with just 1:01 remaining in regulation. Sophomore center/wing Nick Dreyer (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) (Waterloo, Ill.) scored the Bearcats’ other goal in the first period. Dreyer had an assist in the effort, while junior center Scott Roberts (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (Philadelphia, Pa.) posted two assists for the Bearcats.
 
Freshman Anthony Millatti (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) (Columbia, Ill.) made 29 saves in taking the loss in goal for the Bearcats.
 
McKendree will take the ice at home for the first time this season Friday night at 8:30 p.m. against Illinois State University. All McKendree home games are played at the U.S. Ice Sports Complex in Fairview Heights, Ill.
