(LEBANON, Ill. – Oct. 19) – The McKendree University volleyball team dropped an American Midwest Conference match to Missouri Baptist University in, before dropping a close non-conference match to Central Methodist University Friday night. The Bearcats first loss was in three games, while the second was in five.
The losses drop McKendree to 17-12 overall and 6-4 in the AMC. The Bearcats return to the court Saturday to play an AMC match against Harris-Stowe State University at 10 a.m., followed by a non-conference match against Oakland City University at 2 p.m.
McKendree faced Missouri Baptist in the first match of the night. The Spartans won the match 30-20, 30-27 and 30-23. Junior middle-hitter
Katelyn Kombrink (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon) led the Bearcats with nine kills, while sophomore outside hitter

In their second match of the night, the Bearcats battled back and forth with Central Methodist, only to lose in five games, 30-18, 24-30, 30-28, 29, 31, and 15-11. Witte led the Bearcats with 12 kills and also had 13 digs. Senior setter
Allison DeGroot (Highland, Ill./Highland) (Highland, Ill./Highland) had 23 assists, while Aldridge had 23 digs and Maedge contributed 20 assists and 17 digs.
