McKENDREE MEN’S SOCCER’S WIN STREAK CONTINUES, DEFEATS WILLIAM WOODS 4-0

(FULTON, Mo. – Oct. 20) – The McKendree University soccer team pushed their winning streak to thirteen straight Saturday afternoon, defeating William Woods University 4-0 in an American Midwest Conference match.

The Bearcats, currently No. 22 in the NAIA, are 15-1 overall and 7-0 in the AMC. They travel to Lindenwood University Monday for a non-conference game at 8 p.m.
 
Junior’s Nathan Stumpf (Columbia, Ill./Gibault) (Columbia, Ill./Gibault) and Eric Friedrich (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) and  freshmen Bill Puckett (Southampton. England/Tauntons) (Southampton, England) and Sam James (Southampton. England/Tauntons) (Southampton, England) all scored a goal a piece in the win and senior Gareth Batchelor (Southampton, Hampshire/Tauntons) (Southampton, England) and freshman Max Stainmez (Holland, Ontario, Canada/Denison) (Holland, Ontario, Canada) each had an assist.
 
Senior’s Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Brad Dietrich (Belleville, Illinois/Belleville West) (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) split time in goal and combined for three saves.
