(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 24) – The McKendree Bearcats women’s soccer team defeated Lewis University 1-0 Wednesday night at Leemon Field. The Bearcats have now won seven of their last eight games.

Sarah Ryan (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) scored McKendree’s only goal of the game in the eighteenth minute. Senior
Brittany Fuzessery (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) assisted on the goal. Junior
Amanda LaGrow (Morton, Ill./Morton) (Morton, Ill./Morton) played all 90 minutes in goal and had nine saves in the shutout win.
The Bearcats, now 12-2-2 overall, will host a semi-final game of the NAIA Region V tournament November 5. The Bearcats will be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the tournament.
