(LEBANON, Ill. – Oct. 24) – The McKendree University men’s soccer team defeated University of Missouri-St. Louis 2-0 Wednesday night. The Bearcats pushed their unbeaten streak to 14 games with the win.
The Bearcats, currently No. 16 in the NAIA, are now 16-1-1 overall. The Bearcats return to Leemon Field November 6 for the semi-finals of the NAIA Region V tournament.
The Bearcats got on the scoreboard in the 24
th minute when the ball deflected off a Missouri-St. Louis defender into their own goal. Senior midfielder
Jarius Holmes (O' Fallon, Ill./O' Fallon) (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon) scored unassisted in the 42
nd minute to give the Bearcats a two goal lead, where it stayed.

Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) (Buenos Aires, Argentina) played all 90 minutes in goal and had eight saves in the shutout win. It was his tenth win of the season.
