(LEBANON, Ill. – Oct. 3) – The McKendree Bearcats got all the scoring they needed in the first half Wednesday night defeating Missouri Baptist University 1-0. The Bearcats are now 3-0 in the American Midwest Conference and 9-1 overall.

 

McKendree hosts Greenville College at Leemon Field Thursday night at 7 p.m.

 

Senior back/midfielder Gareth Batchelor (Southampton, Hampshire/Tauntons) (Southampton, England) found the back of the net in the 26^th minute to put the Bearcats on top 1-0. Senior forward Cole Harres (Belleville, Illinois/Belleville West) (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) assisted on the Batchelor goal.

 

Senior goalkeeper Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) (Buenos Aires, Argentina) played all 90 minutes in goal and had four saves.
