(LEBANON, Ill. – Nov. 10) – The McKendree women’s basketball team led No. 6 Saint Xavier University by two at halftime, but fell to the Cougars 84-77 Saturday night in a non-conference matchup.
After shooting 34.4 percent from the field in the first half, the Cougars shot 53.1 percent in the second half to pull away with the win. McKendree fell to 0-3 on the season, while the Cougars improved to 1-0.

Ashley Agee (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) led the Bearcats with a career-best 16 points in the loss. Junior guard
Kelsey Park (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette) (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette) and sophomore forward
Emily Best (Wood River, Ill./East Alton-Wood River) (Worden, Ill./East Alton-Wood River) both scored in double-figures with 14 and 12 poinst, respectively. Best also pulled down a team-high six rebounds in the loss.
Erin Hannemann led all players with 27 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double. Jackie Heine also recorded the double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bearcats host Lincoln University Monday night at 7 p.m.
