Eric Hobbie (Vandalia, Ill./Vandalia) (Vandalia, Ill./Vandalia) posted career-high totals with 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead the McKendree University men’s basketball team to a 66-63 victory Wednesday at Brescia University.
The Bearcats snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 6-4 on the year. McKendree also won at Brescia for the first time since the 2001-02 season. The Bearcats will host Indiana Institute of Technology in non-conference action Saturday at 7 p.m.
At Brescia, the contest was tied at 63-63 when Hobbie scored on a tip-in with 42 seconds remaining to put McKendree in front by two. Brescia missed on its next two possessions before senior guard

Anthony McNeal notched a team-high 22 points to lead Brescia, which drops to 2-6 overall. Andrew Howard connected for 21 points in the effort.
