(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Nov. 8)—The McKendree University volleyball team saw its run in the American Midwest Conference Tournament come to an end Thursday with a loss at Missouri Baptist University in the semifinal round. The Bearcats were swept in the best-of-five match by scores of 30-18, 30-25 and 30-24.
The loss gives McKendree a season record of 22-17. The Bearcats were 9-5 in AMC regular-season play to finish third in the league. McKendree must now await the final NAIA Region V volleyball ranking to see if it will receive a bid to the regional tournament. The ranking will be released on Monday.
