(SPRINGFIELD, Ill., March 27)—The McKendree College men’s tennis team pushed its win streak to three matches with an 8-1 victory Monday at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
The Bearcats cruised through doubles play and took five of the six singles matches to post their second win against the Prairie Stars this season. McKendree had defeated Illinois-Springfield back on March 5 at the St. Clair Tennis Club, 5-4. The Bearcats improve to 3-1 on the season, with all four matches coming against NAIA Region V opponents.
McKendree will return to action Friday and Saturday at the John Strahl Invitational, which is hosted by Greenville College. Matches on both days are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
