(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 13)—The McKendree University volleyball squad pushed its season-opening win streak to nine consecutive matches with a sweep of Hannibal-LaGrange College Thursday at the Melvin Price Convocation Center. The Bearcats took the best-of-five match by scores of 30-16, 30-23 and 30-28.
Senior middle hitter
Angie Clark (Charleston, Mo./Charleston) (Charleston, Mo./Charleston) led a balanced attack with 10 kills and five blocks as McKendree improved to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in American Midwest Conference action. Sophomore outside hitter
Dani Collins (Freeburg, Ill./Freeburg) (Freeburg, Ill./Freeburg) chipped in with eight kills, while sophomore outside hitter
Lisa Witte (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles) (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles) added seven attacks. Junior middle hitter
Katelyn Kombrink (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon), who had six attacks, posted five blocks and a match-high four service aces.

Allison DeGroot (Highland, Ill./Highland) (Highland, Ill./Highland) notched 23 assists, and senior libero
Courtney Aldridge (Dupo, Ill./Dupo) (Dupo, Ill./Dupo) had 11 digs.
Jenna Nichols, Sileiny Aruaz and Shannalei Seau-Gibson each had six kills to lead Hannibal-LaGrange (1-4 overall, 0-2 AMC).
McKendree will return to action Sept. 20 at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
