(Lebanon, Ill. – Sept. 16) – The McKendree University women’s soccer team failed to find a rhythm Sunday and fell to Benedictine College (Kan.) 2-0. The loss is their first of the season.

 

Both teams traded shots in the first half, but after a scoreless first half, the Bearcats were out shot 10-4 in the second half on their way to a 2-0 loss.

 

Freshman goalkeeper Liz Yanko (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) (St. Louis, Mo/Rosati-Kain) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Bearcats and has six saves.

 

The Bearcats return to Leemon Field Friday at 2 p.m. to face Bethel College.
