(CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky., Sept. 21)—The McKendree University volleyball team pushed its season record to 11-0 Friday night by winning a match against Ohio Dominican University at the Campbellsville University Invitational. The Bearcats swept the best-of-five match by scores of 30-18, 31-29 and 30-22.

 

Junior middle hitter Katelyn Kombrink (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) (O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon) led McKendree with 13 kills, three service aces and three blocks. Junior setter Dana Maedge (Highland, Ill./Highland) (Highland, Ill./Highland) added 17 assists, while senior libero Courtney Aldridge (Dupo, Ill./Dupo) (Dupo, Ill./Dupo) chipped in with a team-leading 15 digs.

 

Sophomore outside hitter Brittany Schrage (Aviston, Ill./Breese Central) (Aviston, Ill./Breese Central) helped in the effort with two service aces, and sophomore outside hitter Dani Collins (Freeburg, Ill./Freeburg) (Freeburg, Ill./Freeburg) matched Kombrink with three blocks.

 

The Bearcats will put their perfect record on the line Saturday with two more matches at the Campbellsville Invitational. McKendree will face host Campbellsville University in a morning contest before wrapping up play Saturday afternoon against Indiana University-Southeast.
