(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 29)—The McKendree University women’s track and field team participated last weekend at the Gladstein Invitational, which was hosted by Indiana University.
Junior
Lanece Clarke (Nassau, Bahamas/C.R. Walker) (Nassau, Bahamas) posted a pair of top-10 efforts for the Bearcats at the two-day meet. She was second in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.67 seconds. Clarke was narrowly edged by Jenna Griffin for the title. Griffin, who ran unattached, was clocked at 7.65 seconds. Clarke also took ninth in the 200-meter dash. She covered the course in a time of 25.41 seconds.
McKendree will return to the track Friday and Saturday at the Indiana University Relays in Bloomington, Ind. Friday’s action will begin at 4 p.m., while Saturday competition is slated to start at 9 a.m.
