(FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill., Oct. 11)—The McKendre University hockey team registered its fourth consecutive win with a 9-4 decision Saturday against Robert Morris College-Peoria in Fairview Heights.

Senior center Scott Roberts (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) (Philadelphia, Pa./Bensalem) and freshman wing David Coleman (Greenville, Ill./Fort Zumwalt West) each collected a goal and four assists to lead the way for the Bearcats. McKendree is now 6-2 on the year and will have two weeks off before hosting Western Illinois University Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.

Robert Morris-Peoria jumped out to a 2-0 lead just four minutes into play before senior defenseman Jordan Thompson (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade) (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade) put the Bearcats on the board and cut the margin to 2-1. After another Eagles' goal, McKendree battled back to tie the game thanks to goals by junior center Charlie Donze (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) and Roberts.

The Bearcats dominated the second period by scoring all four goals in the stanza. Senior wing Nick Dreyer (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) scored twice in the period, while Donze and senior defenseman Chris Donahue (Levittown, Pa./Truman) (Levittown, Pa./Truman) had the other tallies. Donze finished with two goals and two assists.

Junior Mike Stier (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) stopped 27 shots to pick up the victory in goal for McKendree. Stier allowed just one goal in the final two periods of play.
