(COLUMBIA, Mo., Nov. 23)—The McKendree University wrestling team had five wrestlers with top four finishes at the Missouri Open in Columbia, Mo., Sunday.
Sophomore Ryan Jahn (Bolingbrook, Ill./) (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) won the F/S Division championship at 149-pounds with a perfect 5-0 record. He won the championship match over Vince Ramos of Indiana University in a 4-3 decision. Also in the F/S division, freshman Kyle Williams (Mascoutah, Ill./) (Scott Air Force Base, Ill./Mascoutah) finished in fourth place at 133-pounds with a record of 4-2. Sophomore Kyle Reid (Belleville, Ill./) (Belleville, Ill./Belleville East) also finished in fourth place at 184-pounds wrestling unattached.
In the Open Division, sophomore Andrew Sanchez (Shiloh, Ill./) (Shiloh, Ill./O'Fallon) finished in fourth place at 197-pounds with a record of 3-2. Junior Zak Adomanis (Bowie, Md./Progressive Christian) (Bowie, Md./Progressive Christian) finished in fourth place at heavyweight with a record of 3-2 wrestling unattached.
The Bearcats, currently No. 2 in the NAIA, host No. 8 Missouri Valley College Wednesday, December 3 at 7 p.m.
