(Lebanon, Ill., Nov. 4) – The McKendree women's soccer team suffered its first loss Tuesday night to NCAA Division II Drury University, 1-0, in its last regular season game.
No. 16 McKendree, now 16-1-1 overall, is the No. 1 seed in the American Midwest Conference tournament. They will host the winner of Hannibal-LaGrange College and University of Illinois at Springfield on Monday at 5 p.m.
The Panthers got on the board in the 14th minute on a goal by Kelsy Long from Olivia Philippart de Foy. The Panthers outshot McKendree 15-6 in the contest.
Sophomore Liz Yanko (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) fell to 16-1-1 on the season and had seven saves in the loss.
