(Lebanon, Ill., March 27)-The McKendree University women's tennis team dropped an inclement weather-shortened match against Washington University (Mo.), 7-1, Thursday afternoon.

The Bearcats lone win came from the duo of sophomore Maria Occhipinti (Bahia Blanca, Argentina) and junior Jenny Mennerick (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) at No. 1 doubles, who defeated Kristin Fleming and Allison Dender, 9-7.

McKendree returns to the courts this weekend, travelling to Atchison, Kan., to play Benedictine College on March 29, before travelling to play Graceland University on March 30. Both are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
