(PARKVILLE, Ill., April 15)- The McKendree University women's golf team ended day one at the Park University Spring Invitational with a score of 401. The Bearcats are tied with Ottawa University for tenth place overall.

McKendree is currently 53 strokes behind current leader, Rockhurst University, who has a score of 348. Sophomore Brittany Kellerman (Pinckneyville, Ill./Pinckneyville) (Pickneyville, IL/Pickneyville) currently leads the Bearcats in 39^th place with a score of 97, while sophomore Miranda Gibson (Salem, Ill./Salem) (Salem, Ill./Salem) is in 46^th place with a 99. Freshman Kate Schellinger (Troy, Ill./Triad) (Troy, Ill./Triad) and sophomore Bethany Hinkle (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) are in 50^th and 60^th place overall with scores of 100 and 105, respectively.
