(LEBANON, Ill., April 2)—The McKendree University women's tennis team fell to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville Tuesday, 6-3.

In singles action, senior Sara Johnson (Effingham, Ill./Effingham) defeated Ali Wulfers, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 10-7 at No. 3 singles. At No. 4 singles, junior Erin Thoman (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) defeated Kelsey Laird, 6-2, 6-4.

In doubles competition, the duo of Johnson and Thoman defeated Stephanie Clark and Sarah Rhein, 8-6, to register the Bearcats only doubles win.

McKendree travel's to St. Charles, Mo., Wednesday for a match against Lindenwood University at 4 p.m.
