(Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 14) – The McKendree University women's basketball team improved to 3-2 on the season with a 62-58 win at Avila University on Saturday night.
McKendree will host No. 20 Bethel University (Tenn.) on November 17 at 7 p.m.
Junior guard Ashley Agee (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) paced the Bearcats with 18 points. Junior guard Katie Fullerton (Coulterville, Ill./Coulterville) (Coulterville, Ill./Marissa) had 12 points and senior guard Haley Klingelhoefer (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) had 10 points in the win. Freshman forward Courtney Harris (Wildwood, Mo./St. Joseph Academy) (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph Academy) also had six points and a season-high 11 rebounds.
Avila's Alyson Young had 15 points in the loss, while Jammie Kenney and Brittany Townsend had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
