(DECATUR, Ill., Nov. 24) – Sophomore forward Emily Woodland (Eureka, Mo./Eureka) (Eureka, Mo./Eureka) scored a career-high 12 points on Tuesday night in a 56-52 win over Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.
McKendree, now 6-2 overall, will travel to play No. 11 Campbellsville University on Friday at 6 p.m., in Campbellsville, Ky.
Senior guard Haley Klingelhoefer (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) and senior forward Jill Wolf (Okawville, Ill./Okawville) (Okawville, Ill./Okawville) both contributed seven points for McKendree and junior guard Katie Fullerton (Coulterville, Ill./Coulterville) (Coulterville, Ill./Marissa) had seven rebounds.
The Bearcats held a narrow, 32-29, lead at the half after shooting 46 percent from the field in the first half. McKendree shot no free throws in the first half, but would convert 12 of 16 attempts in the second half to seal the win.
Crystal Zeigler led all players with 12 points, while Cecily Aldridge and Elise Wildman both scored 11 for the host.
