(CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky., Nov. 27) - The McKendree University Bearcats scored 52 second half points on Friday night, but were outscored by 10 in overtime to lose to No. 11 Campbellsville University, 91-81, in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
The Bearcats fell to 6-3 overall and will travel to Columbia, Ky., on Saturday for a game at Lindsey Wilson College at 2 p.m.
Junior guard Ashley Agee (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) (Moberly, Mo./Moberly) scored 24 points to lead the Bearcats, while sophomore forward Emily Woodland (Eureka, Mo./Eureka) (Eureka, Mo./Eureka) had 12 points. Freshman guard Leann Voss (Breese, Ill./Breese Central) (Breese, Ill./Breese Central) and freshman forward Courtney Harris (Wildwood, Mo./St. Joseph Academy) (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph Academy) both contributed 10 points in the loss.
McKendree trailed after the first half of play, 34-22, but scored 52 points in the second half to knot the game, 74-74, at the end of regulation. The No. 11 Tigers proved to be too much in the third period of play though, outscoring the Bearcats, 17-7, to remain undefeated and improve to 7-0.
Whitney Ballinger led all player's with 36 points for the Tigers, while Megan Isaacs and T. J. Thomas scored 14 and 10 points, respectively.
