(St. LOUIS, Mo., Feb. 10)- The No. 2 McKendree University Wrestling won five matches, but lost three by fall in a 24-17 loss at No. 11 Missouri Baptist University Tuesday night.

McKendree began the dual with a loss at 165 pounds, but rebounded at 174 pounds with a win by NAIA No. 3 Josh Bryant (Tuttle, Okla./) (Tuttle, Okla./Tuttle) over Devran Golden in a 11-9 decision. McKendree lost a 5-4 decision at 184 pounds and won its 197 pound and heavyweight matches in 4-1 and 3-2 decisions, respectively. The Spartans won a 4-3 decision at 125 pounds and NAIA No. 2 Wade Lowe (Godfrey, Ill./) (Godfrey, Ill./Alton) defeated Woodrow Harris 17-9 at 133 pounds. A McKendree loss by fall at 141 pounds was followed by a 10-1 decision win by Kody Presswood (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) at 149 pounds. McKendree trailed 18-17 heaidng into the final match of the evening, only to lose by fall to lose the dual 24-17.

NAIA No. 2 McKendree, now 6-5 overall, travels to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Thursday for a dual match at 7 p.m.
