(LEBANON, Ill., March 28)—The McKendree University women's tennis team lost a match at home on Friday to Evangel University 6-3.

The Bearcats won two single matches and one doubles match on the day in the loss. Jenny Mennerick (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) defeated Maria Jose Martinez 61, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, Erin Thoman (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) defeated Kristie Bond 7-5, 6-0. The other Bearcat victory came from Mennerick and Thoman at No. 1 doubles over Bond and Katie Schuller 9-8.  

McKendree returns to the court on Tuesday, March 31st in at Dwight Davis in St. Louis, Mo., against Missouri Baptist University at 4 p.m.
