(LEBANON, Ill., April 15)—The McKendree University women's tennis team was defeated by Lindenwood University on Wednesday by Lindenwood University 5-4.

Picking up wins for McKendree were Jenney Mennerick over Allison Gilles at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-1. Emily Cimmarolli won her match at No. 3 singles over Ivone Gadala-Maria, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, and Lauren Szakielo (Troy, IL/Triad) was the winner at No. 5 singles over Debroan Kunaka 6-0, 6-4. The lone McKendree victory in doubles action was at No. 2 doubles by Cimmarolli and Szakielo over Gadala-Maria and Ashley Jorden 8-0.

The Bearcats will face Washington University-St. Louis on April 22nd.
