(LEBANON, Ill., April 1)—The McKendree University men's tennis team was defeated on the road Wednesday in a match against NCAA Division I member Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. The host Cougars rolled to a 7-2 victory over the Bearcats.

McKendree won a match in singles and doubles competition in falling to 5-2 on the year. The Bearcats are scheduled to host Olivet Nazarene University and William Jewell College over the weekend at Kings Point Tennis Club in Belleville.
