(Lebanon, Ill., Sept. 6) – The No. 12 McKendree University women's soccer team lost to Baker University 1-0 on Sunday on the final day of the inaugural McKendree Soccer Classic.
No. 12 McKendree, now 1-1 overall, will travel to Marshall, Mo., on September 9th to play Missouri Valley College at 2 p.m.
The Wildcats came out on the offensive in the contest and took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute on an unassisted goal by Alix Schiraldi. The Bearcats had four shots on goal in the game and had a 15-9 advantage in total shots.
Junior Liz Yanko (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) fell to 1-1 on the season and had four saves in the loss.
