No. 4 McKENDREE DROPS CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIFINAL TO No. 1 NOTRE DAME COLLEGE AT NWCA/CLIFF KEEN NATIONAL DUALS, 29-8, WILL FACE No. 3 UNIVERSITY OF GREAT FALLS IN THIRD PLACE MATCH

(CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, Jan. 10)- The No. 4 McKendree University wrestling team lost its first dual at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals on Sunday, 29-8, to top-seed Notre Dame College.

The Bearcats will face No. 3 University of Great Falls (Mont.) at 3 p.m., on Sunday in the third place match. Great Falls was defeated, 24-13, by No. 7 Missouri Valley College in the championship semifinals.

After a forfeit loss at 125 pounds, junior Wade Lowe (Godfrey, Ill./Alton) (Godfrey, Ill./Alton) defeated Tyler Savage in a major decision,11-1, to cut the deficit to 6-4. The Bearcats would only manage one more win in the dual with a major decision win by junior Tanner Wolk (Ste. Genevieve, Mo./Ste. Genevieve) (Ste. Genevieve, Mo./Ste. Genevieve), 13-4, over Alex Denman.
