BEARCATS NET SECOND STRAIGHT OT WIN AT ROBERT MORRIS-PEORIA, 3-2

(PEORIA, Ill., Jan. 30)—For the second night in a row, the McKendree University hockey team earned an overtime win on the road against Robert Morris College-Peoria.

Sophomore wing Nic Rolla (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) (O'Fallon, Ill./SIU-Edwardsville) tallied the game-winning goal just 39 seconds into overtime as the Bearcats collected their fifth straight win. McKendree is now 12-7 overall and will be back in Peoria on Friday to face off against Western Illinois University. Game time is set for 8 p.m.

Rolla's game-winner was his second of the night and capped a run of three unanswered goals for McKendree. The Bearcats trailed 2-0 midway through the second period before sophomore wing Jordan Donze (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) scored a power-play goal to get McKendree on the board. Donze scored the Bearcats' overtime winner Friday night against the Eagles.

With 10:21 left in the third period, Rolla tied the game at 2-2 off a pass from senior defenseman Chris Donahue (Levittown, Pa./Truman) (Levittown, Pa./Truman). The score remained tied into the overtime period, when Rolla scored on the first shot of the extra period.
