(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Feb. 13) – Junior guard Katie Fullerton (Coulterville, Ill./Coulterville) (Coulterville, Ill./Marissa) scored 22 points and had eight rebounds on Saturday afternoon to lead the No. 16 McKendree University women's basketball team to its 20th win of the season.
McKendree, now 20-5 overall (10-2 American Midwest Conference), will travel to Columbia, Mo., on February 16 to play Stephens College at 7 p.m.
Fullerton's 22 points led all players and freshman guard Meghan O'Connell (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette) (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette) contributed 13 points off the bench for the Bearcats. Senior forward Jill Wolf (Okawville, Ill./Okawville) (Okawville, Ill./Okawville) posted her second consecutive double-double with 10 points and tied her career-high with 15 rebounds in the victory.
The Bearcats led 37-25 at the half and extended their lead in the second half to pick up their 10th AMC win of the season. McKendree held the Spartans to 26.4-percent shooting from the field in the contest.
Andrea Seabaugh led Missouri Baptist with 15 points in the loss, while Ashley Johnson and Jessica Moore contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.
